I would like to commend Tony Cornell on another excellent article concerning Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) in last month's Insurance Age. It is not only commercial brokers that try to provide that level of service, as personal lines brokers also strive to offer the same - as we did in the 1970s and 1980s.
Unfortunately, our current commission levels are 7% to 10%. I feel the degradation of our profession started with direct writers lowering the level of sales skills - anybody can sell insurance
