Hastings "on track" to achieve its targets

Hastings Group is on track to achieve the targets it set for the end of 2017 at the time of its IPO in October last year, according to group chief financial officer Richard Hoskins.

The company reported growth in operating profit, gross written premium and number of inforce policies in its financial results for the first half of 2016.

Hoskins told Insurance Age that the results were driven by a number of forces, including an increasing number of customers using price comparison websites to shop
