Esure mulls Gocompare demerger
Insurer considers split and appoints Matthew Crummack as CEO of the aggregator.
Insurer Esure is considering a demerger from the aggregator GoCompare.com as part of a strategic review into the business.
It has also appointed Matthew Crummack, subject to regulatory approval, as CEO of the aggregator, which it acquired fully a year ago following in a £95m deal.
The Esure board said in a statement: "Given the positive performance and future opportunities of Gocompare, the board has decided that it is the right time to review strategic opportunities for the business.
