FCA issues guidance on financial promotions via social media
Regulator says communications must be fair, clear and not misleading.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published guidance about using social media for financial promotions following a consultation with the industry.
The guidance is designed to help firms ensure they are compliant with the regulator's financial promotion requirements.
Tracey McDermott, FCA director of supervision and authorisations, said: "Social media is already an important tool for industry to engage with customers and its use is only set to grow.
