Cheltenham charity bets: Gold Cup day

The Gold Cup is one of the highlights of the racing calendar, but who have our brokers and insurers picked to power up that famous hill and win the prize?

The Gold Cup is the jewel in the crown in jump racing and carries the highest prize money, last year the team behind the winner Lord Windermere took home £550,000.

This year Chris Giles-owned Silviniaco Conti is the favourite and many of our brokers and insurers have tipped the nine-year-old to come in.

Adrian Brown, who owns a share in Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Dodging Bullets, joked: "Never get on the wrong side of Chris Giles."
