Markerstudy’s Brightside bid extended

alarm-clock3

A statement to the London Stock Exchange has confirmed that the deadline for a bid by Markerstudy for Brightside has been extended until 10 September.

The original announcement on 16 July of a potential £123m bid at 27p a share came with a deadline of 13 August.

The statement by Brightside confirmed that it remained "in offer discussions with Markerstudy who are currently reviewing information which has been made available by the company".

The new deadline, which could yet be further extended, means Markerstudy has extra time to either make an offer for Brightside or declare that it does not intend to make an offer.
