Hastings turns to Downton Abbey and the Inbetweeners for TV return

The cast of Downton Abbey

Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville and James Buckley of the Inbetweeners will be the voices behind Hastings Direct's return to TV advertising.

The duo will feature in three 30-second car insurance adverts, which will promote the broker's new strapline, refreshingly straightforward insurance. 

The Hastings mascot - modelled as a straight-talking consumer champion - will be voiced by Mr Bonneville, while Mr Buckley, known for loud-mouth Jay from the Inbetweeners, will be the voice of Stephen Seagull.
