Axa Assistance reports rise in turnover and profit

Axa Assistance has announced a 5.2% increase in turnover to £829.2m (€929m) for 2010 from £788m in 2009 along with a rise in net profit to £17.8m (2009: £11.2m).

The wholly owned subsidiary Axa Assistance UK reported £139m of turnover with a £3.9m net profit for 2010.

During 2010 Axa Assistance UK brought its claims management back in-house for the home assistance market and invested in a new system to improve the management of a customers' claim.

The company added that the motor operation also continued to achieve strategic and targeted growth in its market share.
