Axa Insurance customer experience director, Paul Meehan, expressed interest in filling the senior management vacancy in the company's commercial division.
The opening exists due to the departure of commercial managing director Ant Middle, who takes over as Aviva's head of strategic partnerships in December. Mr Meehan has been in his current position for two years and his contract is up for renewal this month (September). Mr Meehan told Insurance Age's sister title Post that the role appealed to him as it would place him at the heart of Axa's broker business.
