KPMG predicts reduction in "broker-friendly" personalities

Mark Winlow, UK head of general insurance at KPMG, says new personalities will change the character of the market in 2010

There will be fewer "broker-friendly" personalities in the insurance industry in 2010, according to KPMG.

Mark Winlow, UK head of general insurance at KPMG, said: “New personalities will bring new character to the industry in 2010 and brokers, overall, will have fewer 'broker-friendly' market personalities to deal with. This is a change that’s likely to concentrate their business in those insurers who are well represented in the broker segment."

He said that general insurers enter 2010 with
