The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has urged insurers to follow Allianz Cornhill's lead after the insurers' underwriting academy became the first in-house training programme within the industry to be awarded the CII prior learning accreditation at advanced diploma level (ACII).
The accreditation means that staff passing specific commercial motor and property and casualty academy modules at the Academy can earn up to 60 credits within the CII qualification structure. According to the insurer
