Allianz Insurance IT has implemented a new IT system to allow claims handlers to work in a paperless environment. The Puma image and workflow system scans claims documents and stores the data on a system available to everyone involved in the claims handling process. The system will initially be used in the handling of motor damage claims at the claims handling centre in Milton Keynes, with plans to roll out the system to motor claims handlers in Birmingham, Bristol and Woking late in 2007.
