Unfortunately, many businesses regard alarms as all the same - a grudge purchase installed at minimal cost, with a few simple detectors and an external deterrent siren. There is often little appreciation of likely insurer interest and design factors that can make a real difference. However, brokers can help to change this perception by seeking more details of existing and proposed alarms, allowing them to better check with an insurer that the alarm is suitable for the nature of the risk.
