Swinton has acquired insurance intermediary business Budget Retail from the Budget Group in a bid to focus on its commitment to the high-street broker.
The deal continues the growth strategy of Swinton, giving the company an annual income of more than £500m and adds to the 250 broker acquisitions already made during the past five years. Swinton's existing 350 high-street branches are now joined by 92 Budget branches offering home, car, travel, pet and other forms of personal cover.
