In our April 2006 issue we published an article by Tony Cornell ("The Price is Right - but for who and what is the real cost?"), which referred to Towergate's acquisition last year of Fusion. In the article, Tony Cornell made allegations about the ability of customers to obtain competing market quotations in respect of existing business already held by Fusion. In the article, it was alleged that it is not possible for business written by Fusion to be quoted by any of the constituent insurers

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
