Date set for inaugural PMI claims panel meeting

The first Transparency of Claims discussion panel is to take place on 21 January.

In September, the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) approached UK private medical insurers (PMI) and the British Insurance Brokers Association (Biba) to form a discussion panel to focus on the serious issue of transparency of claims information in PMI.

The panel has been formed and will consist of Andy Couchman as the independent chairperson, Mike Izzard, chairman of AMII to represent specialist healthcare intermediaries and IFAs and Peter Staddon, head of technical services
