CCV‘s Central region managing director Rob Simpson tells Caitlin Morrison about his varied career and how business ownership compares to being part of a larger group

▶ How did you come to be involved with CCV?

In essence my career has been in three stages. First was with General Accident through its life forms, including CGU and Norwich Union.

I then went to Insurance Means, a small insurance broker in East Hertfordshire. In 2002, I became a 50% partner in the business and in 2005 it became a limited company, I bought out the remaining 50% of the shareholding.

That’s how I got to own the business before 2008, when I sold it to CCV.
