Brokers are heading to Brighton for this year's British Insurance Brokers' Association conference and are no doubt looking forward to both the content and the social side, but, as John Heaney asks, how many take notice of the sophisicated insurance needed for such events?
Few brokers, if any, will give a passing thought to the specialist insurance underpinning the British Insurance Brokers' Association conference - which would have been placed months before - to protect against anything that might lead to cancellation, affect attendance and provide cover for accidents.
For larger events, such as the Biba Conference, specialist cover is a given. However, this is not the case with many other smaller events and now is the ideal time of year for brokers to start
