Cardiff, the gateway to Wales, is a city on the up and makes an exciting place to visit and work in. Sarah Hills visited the capital of Wales and found it a place that, with huge government backing and investment; and a wealth of skilled workers, is ripe for industry expansion
Visually, Cardiff is a place of contrasts with many innovative examples of modern architecture sitting alongside beautiful historic buildings. This contrast is illustrated further by the bustle of the contemporary city centre, sitting, as it does, within a stone's throw of Cardiff Castle. The rows of restaurants and bars that line Cardiff Bay also add to the visual flair and the continental feel of the city. It is true to say that within Cardiff and South Wales, business investment is growing
