Flood management schemes could be limited

The UK's ability to implement future flood management schemes could be seriously limited by legislation to implement the EC Water Framework Directive, the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has said. David Crichton, author of the CII Information Services online fact file on flood risks and insurance (www.cii.co.uk/is/flood), said the effects are already being seen.
