Norwich Union has been piloting a broker-only HNW proposition called Distinct with 30 brokers, and intends to roll it out to another 50 in July. NU hopes to quickly become the third-largest player in the market, after Hiscox and Chubb. The insurer plans to take advantage of the existing customers on its "mid to HNW" Tapestry policy, which has a premium income of around £50m, by upgrading them to the new Distinct offering.
