MGAs can’t afford to not offer digitally traded products – Keating

Launching digitally traded products “has to be the way forward” for managing general agents to meet demand from brokers, according to trade body boss Mike Keating.

The Managing General Agents’ Association CEO explained MGAs can’t afford to ignore what their broker partners are requesting.

“If you produce more e-traded products, then obviously you’re going to get more traction from the brokers who’ve asked for it.”

In March Keating, pictured, highlighted a survey conducted by the MGAA found almost 60% of brokers were asking MGAs for more digital products. Some 1,800 brokers were involved.
