Financial adviser support and service provider Bankhall is to open its doors to general insurance brokers following the acquisition of TBS and its chief executive Mike Williams.

TBS, the brainchild of former British Insurance Brokers' Associa-tion chief executive Williams and Bob Beckett, was snapped up by Bankhall as the ideal vehicle initially to assist its existing composite members.

The TBS name will be dropped and Bankhall UK GI is due to be launched this month.
