The Chaucer Group has announced it is to acquire CNA Corporate
Capital and the right to manage CNA's syndicate 1229. In return, the CNA
Group will acquire approximately 9.1% of Chaucer's stock - making it a
significant shareholder. Following completion of the acquisition, CNACCL
will have assets of £4.7m, which will be available to provide additional
funds at Lloyd's for it to participate at Lloyd's in syndicates 587, 1084
and 1096.
