Independent Insurance's deputy managing director Phil Condonofficially opened the company's Irish headquarters in Dublin last month.
The 15-strong Irish team has been operating since the beginning of the
year, and has established a panel of 25 brokers. Ireland manager Michael
Gaughan said: "It appears we have timed our arrival pretty well. The
turmoil created by mergers and acquisitions among insurers has meant that
brokers have opened their doors to us. We, in turn, have focused on what
they want
