John Lawson, managing director of the Creamer Group, attributes the broker's success to its ability to offer specialist cover while maintaining a diverse client base. He talks to Shona Cronin.

The Creamer Group is a broker that is very much focused on carving
its own niche in the broking world. It does not see its future in battling
it out with the nationals, but instead in offering focused, specialist
products.


The company was established in 1965 by Paul Creamer and was then subject
to a management buyout in October 1996 by John Lawson and Lee Chadwick,
the group director. Mr Lawson, who is now the managing director, joined
