There has been much comment in the press over the past six months
suggesting that it is almost a foregone conclusion that mandatory
commission disclosure will feature in Financial Services Authority
regulation.


It would appear this is based on nothing more than the fact that when the
FSA started to regulate the financial services industry it brought in
mandatory commission disclosure to the life and pensions industry.


I would like it made clear that there was an extremely good case for
bringing in
