DAS Legal Expenses has launched an advertising campaign in order tohighlight its independent status following Direct Line's takeover of Green
Flag.
Direct Line's purchase of Green Flag from Cendant for £220m has given it
access to £2.5 million new customers, to which it could theoretically sell
household and motor policies. DAS is objecting to this increased access
Direct Line now has, and is promoting itself to brokers who currently
offer breakdown and domestic assistance through Green Flag.
