AXA Provincial is to drop the Provincial name from its title in thelast quarter of this year - a year earlier than was originally
planned.
Gary Shaughnessy, marketing director, said: "We have spoken to brokers
about altering our name and they are comfortable with the idea of change.
Although we will not be altering our working relationship with them."
Last month Axa poached Andy Homer from Commercial Union. The former
general manager of general insurance at CU has been made chief executive
at Axa.
