The direct business of distressed intermediary group Ward Evans hasbeen acquired by Sheffield-based broker BH Shield & Co. The deal for the
direct arm, One Direct Solutions, involves Ward Evans' directors Roger
Snowden and Jason Gandy, and will be rebranded SME Insurance Services. Mr
Snowden and Mr Gandy, along with Peter and Mike Shield, make up the four
shareholders and directors of the merged company.
