Cox Insurance Holdings has signed a 10-year outsourcing agreement with IT and business services firm CGI.
The deal, worth more than £138m, is expected to deliver savings in the region of £40m, reducing Cox's IT operating costs by almost 18%. The outsourcing agreement took effect on 20 May, with planned service commencement on 17 June.
CGI will become the primary manager of the insurer's computing infrastructure, providing applications management including support and maintenance, and development
