A Lloyd's-backed commercial underwriting agency is currently being piloted with around 75 brokers and is due to be officially launched in the summer.
The start-up, Evolution Underwriting, is 80% funded by its management team and has capacity to write up to £25m gross written premium in the next 12 months.
The underwriting vehicle is claimed to be unique due to the bespoke technology used in the service and delivery of commercial products to brokers.
