Alan Burtonshaw of Swiss Re has misunderstood the Code of BestPractice on Rehabilitation (PB, December 1999, page 3).
It is not true that the code "seeks to bring rehabilitation, an issue
which is best dealt with outside the litigation process, within this
process."
This is precisely the opposite of what we are trying to achieve. To quote
the introduction: "The intention behind the code is to assist the process
of rehabilitation by encouraging co-operation between the parties." The
code explicitly
