The UK's insurance industry will benefit in more ways than one if it throws its full weight behind the proposed Code of Practice for Rehabilitation.

The biggest talking point following the publication of the Second UK
Bodily Injury Awards Study has been the proposal for a Code of Practice on
Rehabilitation. This is very welcome and must be widely implemented in the
industry.


Quite simply, the UK has a shameful record when it comes to getting
injured people back to work. A tetraplegic in the UK has a 15% prospect of
getting back to work after injury. In the US, where the high cost of
