Aioi Motor and General Insurance Company of Europe has been authorised by the Financial Services Authority to write non-life insurance business. The wholly owned subsidiary of Aioi Insurance will start underwriting from January 2005 and aims to write gross premiums of approximately £80m in the first underwriting year.
