The Institute of Insurance Brokers may have to rethink its
subscription rates, according to director general Andrew Paddick.


He said the IIB has been losing members through mergers and acquisitions
and needs to consider how to maintain its income. "If three member
companies merge into one we lose two subscriptions," he said. "We need to
redress that." Mr Paddick said the falling numbers of brokers in the
market would not tempt his organisation into accepting non-traditional
insurance brokers
