Intermediary Beckett Group is set to tie up its sixth acquisition in
four years with the takeover of an unnamed consultancy, expected by the
end of the year.


The acquisitive group, which is in the process of buying two other firms,
has appointed Keith Isherwood as chief executive with Robert Beckett
retaining his role as chairman.


Mr Isherwood said: "With the market contracting and the number of
suppliers decreasing, plus the collapse of Independent and Equitable Life,
we have to create market
