The latest threat to the high street broker is in the form of digital TV. To survive, brokers must prepare themselves for the competition.

Have you noticed how there always seems to be some threat to the high
street broker hovering on the horizon? Now it is digital television, which
I suspect will be the next "Direct Line".


The sales of digital services are beginning to take off and there is no
doubt that it will be a success, but what will it mean for insurance
sales? Shortly, with digital, the viewer will have access to many services
through the set-top decoder, the television itself or Web-type processors
designed to operate with
