Many brokers are not optimistic about the future of broking, but aiming to improve efficiency will give them a fighting chance.

I was reading in a recently published broker survey that 20% of
brokers said that they were very optimistic about the future, 55% said
that they were fairly optimistic, and only 10% of brokers were not at all
optimistic and felt that broking, as we know it today, will not exist in
five to 10 years time.


This surprised me for, bearing in mind all the problems and concerns in
the broking community, especially regarding regulatory issues and the
spate of insurer and broking mergers and acquisitions, I
