The Insurance Brokers Registration Council is threatening 200 brokerswith expulsion if they fail to re-register as members. The council has
written to all of the brokers warning them of the consequences if they do
not submit their audited accounts and professional indemnity certificates
for inspection.
Alan Gavaghan, chairman of the IBRC, said: "I think part of the problem is
ignorance in that some of these brokers fail to realise that the council
