InsurE-COM, the new broker market Internet trading initiative, is
expected to sign up 10 insurers in the next few weeks.


The e-commerce solution, which will completely bypass software houses with
its online quote engine, went live last month. The system will initially
enable brokers to quote for motor insurance, with household, marine and
small commercial planned for the future.


Insurers wanting to use the facility will have to purchase the
insure-E.link system, which will enable them to provide
