Reading the technology market

Steve Verrall, group chief executive of Sirius Financial Systems, has been in the technology business for 18 years and says the market has changed dramatically. He tells Diane Smyth how he believes the future will pan out and voices his concerns over the flow of start-ups to the sector.

Steve Verrall, group chief executive of Sirius Financial Systems, has
made a career out of being ahead of the game. Setting up an insurance
brokerage when he was only 21 years old, he created the then Policy Master
when he was just 24.


The company is now an established giant of the broker software market but
