Australian financial services group AMP plans to demerge its UK
business as a separate listed company on the Sydney stock exchange. Its UK
interests will be held under holding company Henderson after its asset
management business. This includes life insurers Pearl, London Life and
NPI, independent financial adviser Towry Law and Towry Law Insurance
brokers. Its Australian and New Zealand arm will continue to trade as AMP.
Towry Law was acquired by AMP, the Australian listed financial services
Group
