LLoyd's insurer Cox has posted a loss of £11m for the first six
months of the year, compared with a loss of £600,000 the year before. The
loss was mainly blamed on poor investment returns. Cox reported an
operating profit of £23.9m despite the poor result, however. It said its
retail division had strong premium growth of 22%, especially in motor.
