The AA's latest British Insurance Premium Index revealed that the average cost of comprehensive motor and home insurance has risen slightly during the past quarter. The average cost of building insurance rose 0.66% to an average of £208.50, and contents cover increased by almost 0.5% to £151 average. Motor insurance premiums saw a 0.25% rise to more than £777.
