Patricia Hewitt, Minister of State has called on small businesses
within the insurance industry to invest further in information
technology.


In a statement last month, the minister said that, although most large
companies are making full use of technological advances, many small
businesses are lagging behind.


Ms Hewitt said she is keen to see smaller companies competing on a level
playing field with their larger competitors, both nationally and
internationally.
