General insurance brokers are successfully raising funds by floating on the Alternative Investment Market.

AIM has four listed insurance brokers: NWD Group, Personal Group Holdings, THB Group, PRI Group and Community Broking Group.

THB joined in October 2002 and recently announced a 49% growth in turnover.

The broker won the 2003 Newcomer of the Year Award at the eighth annual AIM Awards.

The Erinaceous Group, which owns commercial broker Hanover Park, has also announced its intention to float on
