Virginstudent.com has bought a 40% stake in specialist studentinsurance provider studentwatchout.co.uk. Set up by New Channel - the
trading name of Summit Insurance Services - the online facility provides
students with household contents, travel, and motor insurance from a range
of different insurers. David Milner, managing director at New Channel,
said: "Every four minutes a student in the UK is burgled and only one in
10 students has belongings insurance."
