Zurich's commercial division has launched a new directors' and
officers' policy aimed at small and medium-sized companies.

The insurer's first D&O product for this market, the policy is currently
being rolled out via broker partners. The minimum indemnity limit is
£250,000, rising to a maximum of £15m.

Zurich said the policy is unusual in that it evaluates companies on the
basis of their net assets, rather than their turnover. The insurer will
obtain most of this information from Comp-anies House
