A survey of 20 insurers by InStep, part of the Electronic Trading Practices Group, has found software house Software Solution Partners ahead of its rivals in electronic data interchange policy trades for motorcycle, household, light goods and private car lines for 2005 in the intermediary sector.

SSP had a total of 2.25 million policies traded, including confirmed renewals, full cycle and new business. Misys, now Open GI, was next on the list with 1.96 million policies.
